Maybe ToF camera is useless but I know wide angle camera is trash (Only it's good for posting on instagram)... I hope Sony bring back that usefull monochrome camera in the XZ4 Premium...

          It may have 52MP but it's still Quad Bayer and it's originally 13MP. I'm glad this is reaching new heights but for Pete's sake, when will they utilize the same sensors and tech as Nokia 808 and Lumia 1020? At least their phone's cameras are true 41MP, not multiplied by 4.

            I would trade that telephoto lens with ultra wide angle lens anytime. If its already has a big camera sensor (rumors 1/1.5 inch, same as last Lumia 1020) with whooping 52mp resolution, zooming should be no problem.

              It should have a super wide angle camera instead of the useless ToF smh...

                The bad news may be that Sony would, like last year, keep the top sensor specs for itself.

                  Insane !!!
                  "The first is a 16MP telephoto camera with an f/2.6 aperture lens. The middle camera is the 52MP camera with f/1.6.The last camera at the bottom is a 0.3MP ToF sensor with an f/1.4."

                  I am.guessing this will have a 3-4 times zoom with the 52MP sensor allowing for 2x Zoom by itself and the 16MP adding atleast another 1-1x Zoom. Plus SUPERB low light as well as excellent detail. Also the ToF sensor may add some of it's own tricks (3D Mapping for 3D scanning? Or calculating distances with rocket science precision?).

                  The Smartphone Sensor wars are FINALLY starting to heat up. 2019 is going to be one crazy year.

                    I feel bad about Sony Mobile.
                    I loved Sony Ericsson phones, they started well in the smartphone industry. But then Sony made mistakes after mistakes hardware wise on probably the most important component in a smartphone, the display.
                    I can't forget how they stick with their LCD panels, with poor viewing angles and washed out colors, they simply refuse to use an IPS at least or OLED at best, that was the beginning of the fall in my opinion, and in the recent, they struggle to shrink the bezels.
                    Poor Sony mobile.
