I love it! The flip phone concept is good for two things, it makes the phone fit smaller pockets and it protects the screen. Neither of these advantages lack in this design, so I'm on board. There's no way in hell I'm paying their asking price though.

PhoneGuy, 02 Feb 2019The point is for it to function like the old Moto Razr phon... moreI know they did it as a homage, but the sacrifice is way too much, I won't count all the inconvenience instances for using this phone, but it doesn't even make a bit of sense. Ok, but I will:
- you have to unfold it to talk on it
- you can't use it folded with one hand for web content or chat, like the other designs
- unfolded you don't have the tablet size and aspect ratio for a nice browsing experience
- regular pictures will be small, in the middle of the screen, the ruler screen is not picture-friendly
The onle advantage would be watching an ultra-wide format movie, but the phone doesn't seem to fold completely flat, so even that will be a bad experience. The other foldable designs, when folded, are almost as tall as the Motorola unfolded, so they can be used for this instead.
I get it, classic, blah blah, but I wouldn't keep a modern panel TV in a square box, like in the 80s because of it. Classic designs are cool, but only when the practicality isn't completely compromised.

It's still really not a good design. People want a regular-sized Razr with some new features, not a touchscreen generic phone that folds into a stubby stupid small-sized limitation.

I love retro looking products, but this is the definition of stupid. You don't need a ruler screen, what's the use of this? The folding should be done on the other axis, so you can have a hand-friendly device, and unfolded should be twice as wide, so you can browse content better. Screens are tall enough as they are, we don't need even taller. A horizontally foldable device would have been like an extra-tall phone from today, but the possibility of becoming a small tabled by doubling it's width.
Anyway, Motorola, Sony, LG and HTC are history, I wouldn't expect enything intelligent from them, Huawei, Xiaomi, Samsung are the main ones that can do something sensible right now.

How about making it looks like exactly how it looks like, minus the foldable capabilities.

As much as I like this as a concept but anyone who would buy a foldable display smartphone would be just a beta tester of the new technology.

phone should be horizontal foldable not vertical. What is the use of vertical folding why Lenovo?
Even they have added a notch to this phone despite having a big display

it's a acceptable design for the first try on foldable phones, hopefully this will open some new design line in the slab world of mobile phones! my main concern is the battery life!
