there is favourite tab it sorta works like smart dialing, u can use third party app such as mx player which supports redicolous amounts of video formats including divx... i just installed ICS on my nexus S somehow the phone is not connecting to network :( but beside that ICS is awesome

1) 72... moreNo one cares about divx/xvid or smart dialling. These are the obsessions of GSMArena who mention them repeatedly in almost every single one of their reviews - these things might have been important a decade ago but no more.
Most people have moved on to h.264 for video. Phone user interfaces have changed too so that smart dialling is not so useful or convenient.
As far as I'm aware, to have DivX support also requires the phone manufacturer to pay more royalties.
