dated to 4.0.3 last night on my nexus s GSM.i think another update will follow ..camera app has bugs, it freezes, only 5 screens available with no previews. The permanent google bar is taking up space on every screen..even if its removed the space cannot be utilized..i miss my gingerbread..also no face lock...some one there are no folders..u just have to drag an app on top of another and it will form a folder..just like in ill phone

why are there some comments here asking about update for galaxy s or motorola? this article is about the (Samsung-made) Google Nexus S.
of course, this will get an update ahead of other phones, because it is Google's phone (though samsung did made it).

Just updated to ICS on my Nexus S (T-Mobile Version, running on Mobilicity in Canada) and its awesome, haven't tried all the new features yet but I've un-installed pretty much all my UI enhancements that I had installed previously on gingerbread, the stock ICS is very tasty!
Really loving the camera launch from lock screen, and to some one that asked no the Nexus S doesn't get a FM radio (it doesn't have one installed physically).

nexus s has 1 ghz of procesor n 512 mb ram .. n still it is gettin d update, then it surely means that the desire hd is also capable of runnin ics.. but i seriusly doubt that we (desire hd users) will ever get official ics. :( :( :( .. as of now m still waitin for 2.3.5 wid sense 3.0 .. india, new delhi ...

Hi, I manually upgraded to ICS using the following steps mentioned in the source link mentioned above. Im using my mob in india. But after doing that my mobile is unable to detect the sim and search for mobile networks. It shows search for network error.Can some1 plz help me wid dis? Thanx in advance.

Sid, 17 Dec 2011Did the ICS update for nexus s added support for.. 1) 72... moreI gt it this morning.....no it didn't add any of that...still no zoom in camera...... plus you can't root ur nexus anymore.....people app not as great as proclaimed.... .flash is forest of bugs.....nd a lot apps which were working fine before start crashing.....no face unlock....been waiting for it for a long time......disappointed.....

Is there gonna be arabic support for the Nexus S, coz the current version 2.3.6 doesnt support arabic and its really a negative aspect of the device...

Just got the official ICS update for NEXUS S. The update is lacking couple of things- face unlock and no option to create/customize folders Besides this, there can be many apps that might not work-- so far VIBER is not working on ICS. My guess is its a 'down-sized' version(4.0.3) exclusively made for nexus s. Any thoughts on this?

AnonD-27407, 17 Dec 2011The galaxy s will be lucky to get ICS. Don't count on it.Still ICS rom from xda is available for the GS1 users. If Samsung is willing to update, then they could.
