If they would add that and pack the mods, it would sell like crazy

Walter C. Dornez, 04 Feb 2019Agreed. That trend sucks. At least smartwatches are functio... moreI guess because they insist on trying to make phones as thin as phablets, and this of course leaves too little volume for a substantial battery to back the same chipset.
Personally I would argue that in the Galaxy S series we need to go back to number 1 or 2 to get to phone-size (well almost for 2).
I WISH they would make back-packs with the battery in different sizes. Just like the good old Samsung S300, where you could click on the battery back that suited your needs of the day. And today they could add a tiny extra internal battery so when you removed the main battery, the screen went off, and you had a few seconds to insert a new battery.
It would make the same device much more versatile, so it could be used for a larger variety of users, and give each user more flexibility in the use - I mean the same user might need a slim device for the dinner jacket one day, and a large battery for gps-navigation in the nature the next....

I dropped my Vivo Nex many times accidentally but pop-up camera is working fine. Best build quality by Vivo on pop-up camera.

that's a giant dead pixel... you can't make a phone without messing with the screen? each part of the screen matters.

EskeRahn, 04 Feb 2019That could well be it. Perhaps people in general would not ... moreSadly, that is the trend with us humans. At least some smartwatches are small and functional. It does piss me off that there aren't more compact phones. My old Galaxy S7 was the best size I've ever had, but any phone that size has terrible battery. The only guys who make good compact phones are Sony

Like plumbing in around 1900 where all pipes were visible, even in new buildings, as central heating and running water was so fancy that if you could afford it you would most likely flashing having it installed, rather than hiding it in the walls. The early radiators were similar very very far from discrete.
It is a bit the same silly tendency with phones being replaced by phablets. It is so hard to find a high speced phone, currently only two are available outside Japan....

All the rest in phone-size are mediocre at best.
In the same way the only elegant/discrete watches you can buy today are simple ones, at best the additional functionality is a date and a third hand for seconds. If you want the functionalities of the Multifunction Polaris from 1990 you would have to buy a huge ugly monster today.... (e.g. Omega Seamaster Skywalker X-33)

Walter C. Dornez, 03 Feb 2019So we should just stay inside, huh? Hiking is funIsn't that obvious? According to his logic, you shouldn't buy a phone with a pop-up camera, cos it can break if you drop it while the camera is up. So, you shouldn't go hiking, cos you can break your leg while hiking.
