Lmao.

Man,the quality of that picture reminds me of the horrible Sony phones had back in 2012.There goes their chance for me to buy their Redmi note 7.
Also, look at all those Apple devices.A company just like Huawei using devices not from their own company.Just show how garbage their company really is.
Also, these are the HQ of Redmi ? Looks like bunch of asian geeks all together for a DnD tournament discussing their dice rolls.Highly unprofessional.

Abunja, 03 Feb 2019I'd rather call it premium phone, since there's this thing ... moreThe flagship performance can be re-write as the premium performance as well. The word of flagship is always related with the Top but the word of premium is not always on the Top.

just bring it on!!! I don't want NFC, quad camera, in display fp, and others flagsip feature, I want cheap phone with great processor.

Maria, 03 Feb 2019When it has no NFC, OLED, stereo speaker, more than 1 front... moreFlagship is a flagship if the company announced so.
Flagship (Oxford dictionary) : “The best or most important thing owned or produced by a particular organization“

It's probably will become the best Redmi can be produced within certain price limits

When it has no NFC, OLED, stereo speaker, more than 1 front camera, the best camera lens with OIS and last but not least, IP rating still, it should not be called flagship.

Anonymous, 02 Feb 2019If their Redmi sub-brand does abandon the mid-range segment... moreThey are not going to abandon nothing, only extend their catalogue. Redmi will continue being the center of mid-range strong sales phones and now with some high-end ones but still below Xiaomi Mi range phones in Price, with Pocophone being the cheapest ones.

But well, let the time pass and see. It doesn't matter what one think here, they have their plan and will accomplish it. Their mid-range phones with good specifications and price will be always covered by one of their brands. It doesn't matter if its through Xiaomi, Redmi, Pocophone or Cheapephonallen....

Hope they keep the old microUSB style port. Should be one of the best value SD855 mobiles on the market. I would wait a year or two for the price to halve.

Statements like "which means that the company will be stepping out of the mid-range territory and enter the premium market segment," in the article tells me they are stupid enough to do it.

AnonD-731363, 02 Feb 2019Man maybe it is xiaomi notebook. It's not, as you can clearly see MacOS running Microsoft Excel on the left. Do have in mind Microsoft Office is different for the macs, with a little bit of zoom and a sharp eye there is no doubt whatsoever that is the mac version (ie. not a heavily skinned PC version).

                                      Color me interested

Problem is they don't have Huawei's pricing power on the high end in the Mate and P series, so unless they start raising prices on Mi flagship and Mix series, they'll end up with multiple flagships all priced close together. It'll be interesting to see how they resolve this pricing issue.
