and what exactly will this prove? nobody cares about this scenario, 99% of people use there phones for messaging and social media, nothing else. and the only reason older phones run slow, is because the new software versions make them run slow, otherwise the 3 year old hardware should be more than enough for social media and browsing

Because from my experience people with this device has been used to the device low performance so they're kinda lost track of how fast is the real fast. No cheating, show your about phone in the beginning.

Specs don't matter nearly as much as actual day-to... moreCorrect, but you can get rough estimation of how the phone will perform without buying it by looking at scores like this. You don't have to watch all the scores, just the UX part (scrolling, swiping, change pages, etc). If you see the animation stutters or lags during the test, I can assure you not to buy it.

has not much to do with performance in daily use.

So no, "really powerful" isn't appropriate here.
Any proper 7nm chipset can achieve at least 350k.
The upcoming S855 XZ4 will top out at 400k.
Kirin 980 is supposed to fight against S855, but as you can see it already get roasted by some optimised S845. Pretty sad.
The upcoming K990 will be on the same level as the S855, but by then S865 will be nearly there. Huawei is still one year late.

I always laugh when seeing things like this...who need this? My lg g2 have, i think, 50 000 on AnTuTu and it is, for 5 year smartphone, very fast for everyday use...what is purpose of 300 000 smartphone? What will you do with it? It is like having car that can go 400km/h but you only have 200 meters long track

Fake. Doesn't matter if it's from their own website, but none of the other flagships are on. Z5 pro gt, xz4 and so on. You can't earn a crown by excluding others.

AnTuTu, the tool of choice for phone makers to brag about how "fast" are their devices.
