yes it's fake, the same carrier fakery that brought us HSPA+ and calling it "4G." It is 3.5 G technology at best. Don't be fooled.

The most interesting point will come when AT&T actually has a 5G network and they try getting consumers to change to actual 5G handsets and more expensive contracts, why would they upgrade when they think they've already got 5G?
