Merkel wants safeguards to keep China from accessing data through Huawei

Norwegian intelligence has expressed security concerns over using Huawei for the 5G rollout, but hasn't made a final decision yet.

Its funny that its came from country that pretty much spy on his own citizens that say anything bad about immigrants in Germany or Merkel.... Like try to write anything bad about islam or refugees in germany and sooner or later you will get nice visit or message to go to the court...

Ther are only 3 manufacturers for this and that is Huawei, Nokia and Ericsson. If the hardware manufacturer of network infrastructure can 1. build in a "off-switch" the basicaly controll the internett in a are potensialy on a national og continental scale. 2. If they have a backdoor feed they can listen to. Hacking wil take on a new dimensjon.

      On the European country I was born in, the only country that was actually proved it was spying our mobile Network and government was USA. I am not saying that others haven't done it or at least tried but that's how it is. It doesn't mean that I don't want American equipment though but crucifying Huawei just on speculations is absurd.
      Actually their equipment is top notch.

      I really start to dislike the recent anti China fad, i have read about it before against an other ethnicity, it was poor Jewish people back then and it didn't end well.

          I don't understand why Huawei is bashed for allegedly "spying" on their customers using their phones by some tech enthusiasts who use phones from OTHER CHINESE COMPANIES (OnePlus, Xiaomi). Do they actually think their phones are perfectly safe to use because they are not made by Huawei? If so then that's a definite proof that US political propaganda is working pretty well even for people who have a lot of knowledge about computer technology.

            Norwegian intelligence is not that intelligent to observe security breach. Its American order from Trump, who has US Bases in Norway and which is US Ally.

            whatever USA wants them to do, they will do it.
            remember fake nuclear weapon Iraq invasion and how it ended.
            Huawei is clever and will get around.
            Merkel is puppet of Usa.

                        Meh American....Huawei are the largest networking company setup in the world, mobile smartphone are only a small department for them. American Cisco, Juniper all are proven to have a lot of backdoors, but Huawei? Thats rite no proof up until today.

                        Pretty much the same story so called Weapon of Mass Destruction accusation in iraq, up until today none has been found, no proof whatsoever, while Saddam already dead. Well they manage to get profit sharing for the oil.

But we have "Patent" to help our IP being stolen and other lawsuit. It is same logic with singer. We can find tons of song piracy,or game piracy,and i can't count how many money they losses from piracy,but does the singer "stop" making song because of this? They know the risk and they have equipment to help them minimalize their losses.
