That really makes sense.
Remote control? Oh right let's take it that way, but aren't the old dumbphones of the past also kind of similar to this one? They should also be considered as remote phones, right?
If anything, this phone is the same height as the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, but narrower, so which one do you think is easier to handle then?

Sony Xperia FOREVER, 06 Feb 2019...most of them are sponsored under the table like this fam... moremkbhd cuts and grades nice videos, proper YouTube production not over the top but not cheap looking. But when it comes to content in his videos and his opinions I have to say there are better suited board users here that have more know how and better constructed comments than him.
But mad props for him as he is obviously just another forum commentator that went visual and he made. He is also very humble cause he is not trying to hide who he is.

Harder to avoid burn in compared to pentile.
TV use lower brightness because they dont face sunlight, so they dont need to be pentile.
Of course, rgb matrix gives better images.

You are aware that 16:9 ratio was standard, and when 18:9 came up it wasn't very optimized at first. Lots of games had black bars, even YouTube videos had black bars. However 18:9 is pretty much a standard now, therefore there is a high chance that 21:9 will be handled the same way.
Also don't bash Sony for making XZ4 only 5 mm taller than Note 9, difference in height between Note 8 and Note 5 is 9.3 mm almost double amount, and people adapted quickly.

LG had a 21:9 years ago.
Google did not have any idea S8 and G6 were going to be non-16:9.
Each cpu has maximum resolution it can handle. You cannot use 2160x1080 with SD400.
Nor 4320x2160 with SD845.

They treat like Apple provided est results among LCD devices.
I had iPad 2018, I can tell u the screen is subpar.
Awful 4:3 ratio and quality.
1080p video on my iPad is way worse than 720p on my old xperia.

Joled isn't anything new, it's an oled display that's developed by joled corp. a joint venture between sony and Panasonic, it's nothing special or revolutionary. Why did most companies not use a 21:9 ratio display? Well, it's simple, does Android pie natively support 21:9 displays? No. Well, not yet at least. The maximum aspect ratio support by android pie is 19:9 anything beyond that and apps, will definitely require crop to fit which introduces aliasing and shimmering artifacts at the edges of pixels that are beyond the supported ratio. Sony jumped the bandwagon way too early, because of one sole reason the fame and notoriety that comes when being the world's first to do something, nothing else beside sony's apps will support the ultrawide ratio for the time being and don't even get me started on cameras, megapixels aren't everything it's the optics and image processing that truly matter. You can have less megapixels but amazing software processing which results in spectacular picture quality or you can have more megapixels but subpar image processing and images that look like decent, it's a proven fact.
