When all copied their camera design language (stripe in the middle dated since lumia 800 and big round eye dated since lumia 1020 then 830, well they still found something else to distinguish them selves from the mass. Bravo.

At my work our machines uses Zeiss optics on it

I wouldn't mind the Sd 845 if the camera prove to be a beast, but what I mind is the bottom and top bezels....

I am not a fan of bezel-less or notch or punchhole screen. Yet the Nokia phones are just not ground-breaking. I had been hoping for a really great Nokia phone for years, and I really hope Nokia 9 or some Samsung foldable phone could be the one.

Ed, 07 Feb 2019Because of physics. Larger sensors require larger lenses. Smartphones are not competing with cameras. IMO, companies need trying more on software instead of hardware. Hardware is important, but not all.

It's only that some have OCD about irrelevant specs like bezel size, RAM size, latest CPU especially when it comes to midrange devices, type of screen which has nothing to do with the quality of the screen and mandatory aluminum body for whatever reason

They knew they wont sell it wel... moreNostalgic? What exactly makes it a nostalgic "Nokia" phone, aside from its branding??
It is as typical as any other premium high end phones released in the same timeline as it was released, but with an inferior SoC despite the same exact asking price point.
It WAS a mistake due to the fact that it wasn't priced accordingly, and even the phone itself had many faults.
For starters, its display has insane color shifting, even a slight off-angle look would drastically change its whites to blues real quick. Then the camera that doesn't deliver anything exceptional. It was fine for a flagship, but certainly not $700 worth it. And there's the price point. There are simply many better alternatives to it at the same price tag, mainly the Galaxy S9+.
This Nokia 9 won't be anything different. At $750, this wouldn't even be worth it, considering there are many old flagships of yesteryear already that are below $500 by this time.
Like I've said, unless the penta camera system delivers to its hype, Nokia wouldn't be able to sell well with this one.
Just call me back again once their sales could finally match Vivo's and Oppo's.

Finally, a 4,150 mAh high capacity battery in a Nokia branded android phone. The era of super slim, ultra thin, anorexic phones that have PLAGUED the flagship smartphone industry FOR YEARS is finally gone.
Lenovo and Huawei actually pioneered those large 4,000 mAh batteries in android smartphones way back in 2013 with the Lenovo P780 (one of my first smartphones) and the original Huawei Ascend Mate '1' (owned the third iteration - Ascend Mate 7) which is the great, great grand daddy of the Mate series (Ascend Mate 2, Ascend Mate 7, Mate 8, Mate 9, Mate 10, Mate 20, etc.).
The only other big influential smartphone manufacturers that remain stuck in Anorexia ERA are SONY, LG, Google and Apple. Hopefully these 'TITAN' brands come up with 4000mAh (or higher battery capacity flagships) or they will be on the path of EXTINCTION and TOTAL IRRELEVANCE.

Seemingly, this phone was designed two years ago, and cannot be produced due to various reasons. Its design is a bit outdated now, and I don't think it is a game changer to the declining mobile market. I used to love Nokia phones, but its phones today may be a little bit disappointing, especially to the past supporters.
