LG phonies are vastly underrated. The G7 costs €380 in Germany, which is way cheaper than the already cheap S9 for €480, yet there are many Germans buying OnePlus phones, which are overpriced in comparison ...

LG doesn't seem to realize that their brand value isn't what it used to be. They're making decent phones of late (V30, G7, V40 are all decent whether you agree or not) but they always overprice their phones, which in turn kill the appeal & hence the company keeps losing money every year. LG needs to get their act together before it's too late.

I think this will be a good device. But it looks like cheap phone with outdated notched design (I still don't like the notch), it is pricey at start and not best in any competition with leaders (camera \ performance \ features)

No thanks. Im using a G7 right now. Feels like I downgraded from my note 8. The battery on this phone is 3 hours max!

It'll be BOGO when release. Or tradep

It will be free, when buying a $250 TV from Best Buy, in 6 months time.
                    :-)

I'm glad that I quit LG

Paul, 11 Feb 2019Way to expensive for a LG deviceIt will drop its price way faster (and more ) than any other phone and you know it so stop complain. 1440p, quad dac, 3,5 jack, ip68, one of the best ips screens right now, wide camera, so no 900 starting price is not expensive. And as i said before in 2 months will be like 200 dollars down (like the G7 which dropped 300 eyros in 2 months in my country).

Anonymous, 11 Feb 2019See, why is that? Shouldn't you be saying that about Apple'... moreVery Simple: Scales of demand. If something is a sort after product, one can usually expect price to reflect demand. Apple and Samsung have massive market share and a loyal customer base. LG doesn't. It needs to price it's products attractively to get a foothold in the mobile market. Look at any Chinese OEM and how they price their phones and look at the results. Whereas Apple and Samsung had staggered or slowed down sales, LG's mobile division is running at a loss.

                                It's not rocket science.

I do not underestimate LG brand but do we still need LG smartphone? LG do not make a good sale too when we are in the age of keypad phones 20 years ago.

In comparison, LG's or Sony's prices seem pretty tame.
