          BBK
          oppo vivo
          OnePlus & RealMe iQOO

          Xiaomi => Poco & Redmi
          Huawei => Honor
          ZTE => nubia

          Chinese are so clever they are making money by selling main brand and sub-brand

            iq
            ique

              I-koo? Echo? I-kuu? Echuu?
              If Samsung and Apple decide to follow this sub brand trend what will their brands be called?

                These Chinese companies are like spammers in the smartphone world.

                  I Q double zero
                  I Quuuuuuuuu

                    Nick Tagataka, 12 Feb 2019I forgot which one was it, but I heard that in some asian c... moreIt's Japanese. 'Iku' as itself translates to the English verb 'go' or 'going.' Japanese is mostly context-dependent, so it could either mean "I'm going," "let's go," or in your case, "I'm coming." While you're not wrong, that's not the first thing that comes to mind.
                    It's likely you have just been watching too much japanese porn and can't understand or speak the language at all so you're just associating the word purely because of that. Get your mind out of the gutter.

                        Another Chinese Brand expansion which is good for customers to have bunch of choices. Honestly, I even ignore Vivo brand in my list.

                          The Chinese have never really been good at finding attractive names for their brands.

                            I forgot which one was it, but I heard that in some asian countries the sound "ikuu" means "I'm having an orgasm". Pretty embarrassing brand name to have, I reckon.

                              Soon whole world will turn into a gamming world where is the era from 30-40 years ago when we istead of clicking buttons or moving joystick came outside the house and palyed with friends.

                                Ohh my god... Oppo Vivo OnePlus Realme wasn't enough to have another Sub Brand by BBK?

                                    Whackcar, 12 Feb 2019Vivo itself is kind of a sub-brand (subsidiary, i know) of ... moreGuess you could call that... Sub-brandception... Yeah I know, 2010 called, it wants it's joke back :(

                                    But really I'm kind of missing the point of all this sub-branding, at least from the customer point of view - either you know that it's a sub-brand and you treat exactly as it's mother brand (Honor/Redmi) or you don't know it and you're wary of it because it's something new to you... I guess the reason is economical, something with taxes and whatnot

                                        You are targeting the most popular brand- "iVoomi". ;)
