Oppo surpasses Samsung in Thai market despite overall decline in Q4

The second-largest smartphone market in the region saw a 13.6% decline YoY in overall smartphone shipments.

Nowdays everybody is better than Samsung.
Many chinese manufacturers sells equal phones for much less.
And noone is interested in buying Samsung mfor their 1000+ price.

    According to statcounter.com, the market share of the active smartphones in use in Indonesia in January 2019 is as follows:

    Samsung: 26.89%
    Xiaomi: 21.54%
    Oppo: 17.4%
    Vivo: 8.56%
    Apple: 5.86%

Top5 here is domated b... moreIt is because Apple iPhone is so exclusive in Indonesian, only rich Indonesians are using iPhone XS, XS max and even X. Just little buy iPhone XR thou. Others is using old/second-hand iPhones. New iPhones can high their users' status.
                  And for Samsung, because of its after-sales service. Samsung surely replace Nokia here in Indonesia.

                    Odd how people actually buy Oppo and Vivo phone. I actually thought their midranger are overpriced compare to the specs they offer. Only the exterior looks is selling it since it look modern with bezel less look and waterdrop notch.

                                  Here in Thailand Samsung phones are now seen as out of fashion, mostly for old people. Expensive, underspecs and looking old with their big bezels. And they take ages to launch new phones when the chineses are launching phones nearly every month...Why they don't sell here the cheap M10 and M20 is a mystery. RIP Samsung

                                      well, when I was in Bangkok, OPPO ad was everywhere. Also, Samsung continues its stupid high price strategy, consider most Thai don't make as much as Americans. Samsung will be the old Nokia.
