My LG 8 ThinQ has a static problem. Anyone else have this? Verizon sent me a new one, same problem. Sent original back to LG and they said there wasn’t a problem. Still happening

LG should have followed the V30s path of minimal bezels instead of the notch but good they didn't adapt the holes at least you can hide the notch on the V40/G7 to make it look like the V30, only wish that it was available in all apps instead of only the LG ones.

borkarocks, 15 Feb 2019copy from sony!!It is not a copy, but they do pay royalties to Sony for the use of its technology. Just like Lg had to pay royalties to Idemitsu Kosan for oled technology used on Lg's oled tv and Samsung pay royalties to Universal Display for the use of Amoled on its smartphone.

I was saying if the display was moved down like an inch then the top part wouldn't need a notch and then the phone would look symmetrical and not like some iPhone X bootleg. Sit down

This is interesting. If the phone isn't super ugly like the G7 and V40 were (*cough* that notch that doesn't even have to be there) then maybe it'll sell well.

If it's LG, well it's still good. After the V35, LG is making better panels but it's still not on par with Samsung. Sony's tuning to add the 10 bit is just like its predecessors, which does give it an edge compared to all smartphones. The XZ3 still isn't as colour accurate as Samsung flagships though, if you care about that, otherwise it's a pretty fine display. Nevertheless, LG OLED still has problems in the newer phones such as the Pixel 3 and Mate 20 Pro.

maybe lg should add 2 notches to the g8, that way, they will have a good excuse why it won't sell more than 2,000 of them.
