Canon's smallest full frame camera to date.

Why is a mobile phone like Samsung Note 9 more capable and all rounded in Videos, compared to a dedicated camera which costs high (not considering overall video quality, just modes)?

C lineup has huge set of features... I've seen the list, the DSLR range is nowhere close.

It's infuriating how over priced lenses are. And how few actually have nice f1-2 lenses. Especially that are not limited to such a narrow view. Duh obviously that's in part to reserve sharpenness but is still bs

Why buy a premium Canon model with a new lens mount? Canon's best sensors are a decade old in abilities and modern cell phones aren't trailing too far behind. You only buy a Canon if you need lens compatibility.

Canon USA has screwed me over too many times to trust yet another new lens system. In one case, Canon Support told me to purchase a new camera for $600 just because 2 screws had fallen out and they refused to even sell me replacements. I ended up finding a 3rd party on eBay who sold them for $10. I will NEVER buy Canon again!

          Looking great.
As a camera outbeats any phone of any brand by dozens of miles.

Cheap body but expensive lenses. I would like to see some more cheap f1.8 primes. Their lenses roadmap is mostly expensive pro lenses.

But they have seri... moreNot just this camera to be honest, Canon almost certainly will crippled their Video feature in some deal breaking ways, mostly to make the C lineup relevant. I remember getting excited for the EOS R having 4K,but we know how it goes. Though it might be a good entry point for Canon shooter to try mirrorless (we know how stubborn Canon fan can be eventhough the video is crippled)

A brand new Sony A7II with much better sensor and features is $999. Doesn't make any sense to pay this much in 2019 for what RP has to offer.

Canon cuts too many features to make sense in mirrorless.
Sometimes ISO is limited, sometimes battery life is abysmal (although with usb charging powerbank will help). They do 4K but cuts here and there, sometimes its fps, sometimes no external sound, sometimes, video is cropped, sometimes its slow motion is crippled. What the hell...?
I know its for imaging, but why cripple the video aspect so much that an aspiring snapper has to carry another gadget for similar purpose?

Here the Sony's FF's start making sense.
Plus, come to the fact that Canon have their own E series of lens for these cams, and its not as big as their DSLR lens range.
And it becomes apparent that Sony's older A2 series is better for now..

"The EOS RP is one of the most affordable ways to get into the full frame" What?! You can get a Sony A7 II with 28-70mm kit lens to $1200 new... This new Canon RP is $1300 body only...
