Whitestone Dome Glass will let Galaxy S10's fingerprint reader work even without a hole

18 February 2019
The tempered glass screen protector comes with liquid adhesive and application tools as ultrasonic readers can be disabled by air gaps.

I payed 99 dollars to fit a whitestone to my s10 plus.
Looks and feels amazing but my fingerprint would only register 1 in 4 attempts.
I even reregistered both my thumbs twice so there was 2 scans of each thumb and still the dome glass kills the operation of the fingerprint sensor.

Absolute nonsense. So I have to choose, have protector with hole or waste another 60 dollars for already insanely expensive phone to have holeless protector?? No Samsung, I am not sure I will fall for this

Looking forward to see if it can handle the curved screen well.

That's why I hate curves edge screen.

Note9 User, 18 Feb 2019How are you getting on with the scratch guard, and which on... moreScratches in the screen guard is ok than cracks in tempered glass which is considered not a good omen in our place. Tempered glass cracks invariably after initial markings that gets developed as eventual crack. My Note 9 front and back scratch guard done perfectly by the guy for $7. I prefer this over glass which also develops problem with some cases as well..

All loca glue install (UV light) screen protectors will let fingerprint work through the glass. Not sure why Whitestone charges $50+ for a screen protector.

                      - When going outside into a cold environment 0 to 10°C the glass contracts & clicks when pressed @ bottom LHS corner. High reflectivity affecting screen in the sunshine. You can see the dot matrix at an angle.

I might take it off in the summer & use a liquid screen guard instead, if it works.

Galaxy Note 10, 18 Feb 2019Tempered glass installation always a nightmare for curved s... moreHow are you getting on with the scratch guard, and which one did you get?
I looked at them from Spigen, etc, but wasn't sure.
I chose & still have the curved tempered glass screen protector from TOZO (full screen with no cutouts), I wasn't too confident about fitting it, but fit it day 1, 1st time (with case on to assist no clash alignment) no problem.
It's always best to fit in a dust/ fibre free environment, I fit it whilst sat on the toilet on a small foldable desk.
I vacuum the room, then I boil the kettle so that any remaining dust particles drop to the floor.

+ It serves it's purpose & protects the screen.
Didn't need to increase touch sensitivity, hasn't scratched or come loose, but shaped/ bedded in more securely over time.

My experience with screen protectors is that they do damage to the screen when the are removed! The screen coating... is removed/damaged when the screen protector is removed!
