Why can't greedy corporates realize there's a DIFFERNCE between this and finely hand-crafted jewelery such as pens and watches.

They don't become obsolete in 2 years time.

"..which the company mistakenly lists as Symbian S40.."

You know you're getting ripped off when someone tries to sell you a $50,000 phone without even knowing what OS it's running.

this will go straight to museum. even if i'm a billionaire, i will never buy this product. not so practical. For $50,000, i would rather buy a car, new phone, customized computer, new laptop, yacht, jacket, shoes, mattress and many more.

Not bad... Not bad at all. I love the style and the components used in this. Still, how does it compare to some of the other Vertu classics? Probably on par, but certainly not better.

The thing that turned apple around from the first iMac is external design and general usability. Technologically, iMac was just an upgrade to the poor selling Macintosh of the time, but the beautiful all-in-one jelly-colored design contrasted with the boring gray or beige PC's of the time. That's all it took to turn apple's fortune--everything else followed: iPod, iPhone. The other thing is general usability--apple turned the confusing and techie-oriented PC into something closer to a TV set or toaster oven. Even granny can use it out of the box! Not so with android, we're way into their 4th OS and it's becoming more confusing.

An ancient phone made from glass(saphire probably) and gold even if it has God signature on it it wouldn't sell to much.

Why bother with adding a camera? A model like this will look better without one. Plus the camera is probably not that good. And there is no flash.

S40 is a perfectly fine OS. Some people don't want their phone to do everything. They have other devices they'd rather use and have a better experience with. Still, there's a lot to be said for picking up a feature phone and just enjoying a phone for being a phone... and spending $50,000 on a phone that's barely worth half that in its materials makeup. I guess we'll just both agree that we can't afford what Gresso is smoking, but it's obviously some very good ish.
