Makes me laugh at the volumes of people thinking Android is superior to the iOS. Reality check - its not. Android has bugs, security issues, worse of all, different Android OS's for different phones. Ooooh let's have Froyo for one, the Gingerbread for another, ooooh Icecream Sandwich for another......Then we got Adobe Flash: only some Androids have this, the cheaper ones don't have full flash support. How about prices: ok some droids are £50, some are £100, some are £150 etc.... Yes there is about 500 Android phones. Of course they are gonna sell more than the iPhone!!!! Not rocket science!
When I hear about this and that phone being faster than the iPhone, reality check: iPhone 4s was proven to have faster benchmarks in recent tests. It also has the better camera, better video, better app support.
Give up Apple haters. This is just a numbers game stat. The iPhone was and still is the BEST smartphone :)

I absolutely understand why they avoid Apples crappy locked-down hardware with its drm infestation for phones like the Samsung Galaxy s2.

The Galaxy is a superior phone, lots of connectivity, lots of ram, exchangeable battery, sd card, good dual core processor. lots of tweekability to suit an intelligent person. The iPhone lacks all the mentioned above. Sorry no iPhone 4 me. Too smart to be seen with such junk. Oh I forgot to mention the iTunes jail. Forget it!

To me, currently gaming is superior on the iPhone, as well as music production with apps such as GarageBand and Amplitube where you can plug in your actual electric guitar or MIDI instruments. Simply no challenge to iOS from anyone right now.
Personally I always try to go for what's best for me. Humans are different, so there will never be one phone that's best for everyone. I can only speak for myself, and currently, the iPhone has one of the best combination of features that I simply cannot find in any other phone.

Average % apple have lost in Europe = 7%
Average % apple currently holds in Europe = 21%
If everything remains constant it means in 3years apple will have an average of 0% market share in Europe and 3x more court cases.

What you just said has been working since first iphone. iOS is fully multitasking OS only 3rd apps are not. iPhone mails has been downloading and uploading in background always.
Tip, every 3rd apps dont freeze, only the apps which has no background use, So most of them. Apps which benefit background use dont freeze, those can send or receive information in background.

Why would you want stuff like games running in background? My characters in games would die and games will eat battery in background. Same thing for websites. Many times I had apps on android running in background that killed battery really quick. Android's multitasking is more of a con for me. With iOS' multitasking I won't have to worry about apps killing battery in background.

I have both SGS2 and iPhone 4S. SGS2 has lag when you start to install apps on the phone. On the iPhone 4S, it has little stutter when going to spotlight search the first time but other than that I can't find any lag on the phone. Ex-Google already explained why Android was built to lag.
