Arif238, 23 Feb 2019I'm thinking of buying 1050Ti powered laptop with i5 8th Ge... moreIts better if you spend a bit more and get an i5 laptop with a 1060 cuz its more powerful and could run decently in 2 years

Arif238, 23 Feb 2019I'm thinking of buying 1050Ti powered laptop with i5 8th Ge... moreIt purely depends on the games you play. If you do light gaming then I'd recommend the laptop but if your games are demanding then I'd advise against a laptop for gaming.

r33fd, 23 Feb 2019It's funny so many people are praising this 1070 like card ... moreI guess the newer card is more efficient and consumes less power. Also, because the starting price is lower, it has more potential to become cheaper in retail in the future. And it may also support some newer standards

Anonymous, 23 Feb 2019sub 300 price range should be what a home PC needs. video ... moreA home PC gets by with integrated graphics. Only gamers and professionals need a dedicated GPU. Most normal users would be happy with an Intel Core i3 with integrated graphics and a 512GB NVMe to start up programs fast, because that's the area where most people will notice good performance. The i3 costs a bit more than € 100, the NVMe costs a bit more than € 100, so about € 250 add to that a mainboard and 8GB RAM and some smaller stuff like WiFi+Bluetooth card as well as a nice 24in display and some basic keyboard and mouse and you have a computer which serves every need of a normal user for about € 600. If you suddenly decide to become a gamer, you can just throw in a graphics card for some money, but that won't be the case with most users.

I'm thinking of buying 1050Ti powered laptop with i5 8th Gen. Is 1050Ti gonna be obsolete in next 2 years?

It's funny so many people are praising this 1070 like card that costs... you guessed right: about as much as you can 1070 for these days.

There is no real value for money progress made anymore.

sub 300 price range should be what a home PC needs. video card price is too absurd where it costs more than the whole PC with top spec

I never thought I will look forward to Intel’s upcoming GPUs. Nvidia bombed it with Turing big time and it’ll be hard for them to come up with anything better anytime soon, I assume.

They keep moving the low-medium tier cards to medium tier performance and medium tier prices. There's an absence of their budget cards now... Eh oh well. I have no regrets with my 570.
