Even more expensive than Galaxy fold, still no 3.5mm jack and small battery for its size.
Well, cool device if you are a show-off with money and no life (Because those who do have a life don't care what others think of their possessions).

AnonF-85937, 24 Feb 2019Indeed! Huawei just killed the Galaxy Fold. The Galaxy Fold... moreThe 8 inch screen on HUAWEI Mate X do not have a ugly notch like SAMSUNG Galaxy Fold. And Mate X also have a 6.3 inch back screen where Fold don't have.

When the phone is fold, HUAWEI Mate X do not have any gap between the screen while SAMSUNG Fold has a gap.

Huawei really stole the show today! The fact that it folds back properly without any gaps alone makes me consider this over the samsung fold sure. A lot of other technology going on in there with the huawei one ofcourse! Impressive!

I believe you don't watch the event.

This is real competition in the Android world! Immediately price rationalization would happen unlike iOS ecosystem you would keep feeding until they become too lazy to move!

and people say Huawei can't innovate! This seems to be more pleasing implementation by looking at the pictures than Samsung Fold X! Price obviously a great barrier for a Kirin 980 mobile! Other than price they have clearly demonstrated their innovative capabilities!! No wonder they beat everyone in the mobility space except Samsung! Hope their Software is not shitty with iOS inspired EMUI freak

After one year of usage, I find that it seldom has scratches on the screen. So no need to worry about that.

2/3 of all comments here are saying nothing and should be removed.

Anonymous, 24 Feb 2019Sadly people are focusing on the brand more than the phone ... moreI don't think you've looked at the crease where Mate X folds. That crease is just a bit better than FlexPai. If you want that kind of flimsy product, go ahead. While I agree with the Galaxy Fold's primary screen issue, it's a far more polished phone. That hinge design is sturdy. They should've gone wider though.

Once a copycat, always a copycat. As if Howdare had the first idea of a foldable smartphone. The crazy fast charging alone isn't enough to overthrow the foldable king. Not to mention the shameless amount it asks for. Howdare should always remember it will hardly shed its copycat tag and that people wouldn't choose it over the likes of Samsung and Apple when they are handing out this much amount of money.
