Shaun, 24 Feb 2019Bye! Go back to your Samsung and Apple. What do Samsung and Apple have got to do with his comment? Some people these days are just logic-less haters.

At least they didn't arrange all those lenses and flash on the back to form a smiley face.

The whole point of multible cameras is to combine their pictures together.
You can either have one big camera, with big camera bump... or several small cameras where you combine those pictures to one big data raw picture. Is is more complex than single camera, but does not require the same thicknes as single camera with somewhat comparable end result.
This is very interesting phone indeed!

Lucian, 24 Feb 201910 seconds for taking a picture? Up to 10s when the phone is on tripod, for longer exposure. Not 10s for every single photo

Yep, probably all those sensors lack of OIS. So if you are not good and have a firm hand you could easily ruin your photos. Idem for you take some from video which is not especially good in this phone.

Nokia 9's photo samples are absolutely stunning, no overshapening, no oversaturation, no watercolor-like selfies. Everyone who is used to shoot with non-image stabilized high-aperture prime lenses would love it.

"But there is also the fact that the Nokia 9 will have a limited production run. Once the stock is depleted - that's it".
Don't get me wrong, I've used and loved Nokia phones for years, but I have to be totally stupid to fall for that marketing talk and go and buy a phone that cost 700€ with last year' specs and looks just because of its 5 cameras.
Let those with money to throw out the windows run and buy it fast (because it'll have a limited production run). I'd rather buy a true DSLR camera with one or two lenses for that price.

I guess we have to wait for real life photo samples...

I was pretty dubious about this before but this is really looking interesting after the reveal. It's cool that this actually uses the multiple cameras together, while almost everyone else is still basically giving you a single camera plus a bunch of unrelated ones that add other features (yet the marketing usually acts like the extra cameras will improve all your pictures).

Also the reduced price and limited run are a good call - I thought this would suffer a similar fate to the LG G6 by running a year-old SoC, but this way they can have the 855 version as the main release and just have this stock for the enthusiasts. Seems like they planned this out pretty well after all.

Lucian, 24 Feb 201910 seconds for taking a picture? Well, you can take more while processing but.... if you use it to shot a burst of them, the amount of processing time will need a big buffer, slowing the phone and eating part of that small battery meanwhile. I see this more a trick for marketing than anything else. Like the limited edition that will come later as an updated phone...

And that process runs in background.
You can immediately take another shot within millisecond.

Anonymous, 24 Feb 2019No headphone jack is a no. Same, I wanted that device for SD855 And headphone jack

Camera setup is actually pretty interesting if it could do even half of what was promised with a speed of a regular phone cam. Price is good too and SD845 is more than enough (hell, my SD821 is still more than enough, speed wise). I could even tolerate no standard TRS port, though it is obvious it is pure marketing and Samsung proves otherwise. But that battery is simply garbage. I can't consider device that won't live till the end of the day and I'm pretty sure that such giant P-OLED will fail at that. I'll wait for results of course but I suspect no more than 80h by GSMArena rating. This looks like an LG screen and V40 with similar specs is in a trash tier battery rating at 64h.

So it's basically a bunch of duplicated RGB and monochrome sensors that can help in taking better photos, sounds skeptical, but I digress. It's great to see NOKIA (or should I say, HMD Global?) putting a ToF sensor on the back too, to improve on dynamic range I guess, along with a selfie camera that uses pixel binning. I'm glad that they didn't include a notch upfront too, instead, they chose to have those flat bezels that's reminiscent to the one found on the LG G6. And hey, it's ANDROID ONE too, which LG should consider having over their own UI

Whackcar, 24 Feb 2019Hmm... 5 sensors but they all do the same thing. So basical... moreAt least two of them are RGB and three of them are monochrome, whereas both camera on OnePlus are both RGB. Really cannot understand OnePlus's logic on that.
