Samsung hides their foldable homework very well. Chinese brands panicking and start copying each other foldables even if it look completely similar. I wont be surprised if something similar like Galaxy Fold suddenly popped up within a month or two and they will claim its an 'upgraded' innovation from this one.

I don't think Oppo's VP reads comments here, but I'm totally interested in a phone like that! As long as it's affordable.
A large unfolding screen would be useful for lots of stuff. It's much better for browsing the internet, since you can view more of a website at once, and with a tab bar visible to make it easier to keep track of many tabs. It's also much better for viewing all sorts of documents that have a lot of content, so that on a typical non-folding phone either it's zoomed out and barely readable, or it's zoomed in and you need to scroll all the time.
And it would be great for games too, since many games on phones have cramped user interfaces, with lots of stuff overlaying the game's view and blocking it.

lol save your cash people! In a year these phone will be $600 not kidding. They oversaturate the market. Its like with the fismrst color phone expensive as hell then cheapo

No Offence to Innovative ideas, I dont think Folding Display is developed enough to be mainstream
Also, I think the Idea of the main screen being inside, like in G Fold is probably better, less of a chance of owner having a heart attack in case of an accidental slip.

Ok so who is actually copying? Huawei never innovates and just can copy others while Oppo did innovate. Could be Huawei stealing Oppo's concept and release it sooner

These hinges takes years to develop and designs were patented, long before anyone knew whats a royale. Your comment reeks of ingorance or plain fanboyism to demean new things in order to feel better for yourself.

Since Royole FlexiPai made a foldable phone, the rest of the chinese smartphone makers follow this bad design where a little force touch on the exposed screen, there'll be unsightly screen glitches. The plastic screen should be inside covered with materials like glass or ceramic in order to look more premium like the Samsung Galaxy Fold.
