nubia Alpha is a foldable smartwatch that you wear like a bracelet, it's also a phone

The extra-wide 4" AMOLED display wraps around your wrist - it's by far the largest screen on a smart wearable yet.

The future is here....almost. Im suprised Samsung hasnt done something ike this as they are always wanting to bend screens. This is definatly a step closer to a fully wrist wearable smartphone. Now that screens can bend and then go back flat im sure by this time next year we can expect to see somoene do an Android wrist phone (fully functioning). Done right i reckon these things would sell better than the folding smartphones.

Whackcar, 25 Feb 2019This thing would've been far more appealing if it was more ... morethats like, just your opinion.

I would definitely hate it if they shove smartphone OS for this device.

Well it's cool buuut, it should have 50-100% wider screen instead of those ugly bold borders and running on android. Battery would be better (stay for at last 2 days). If someone do this im pretty sure it will succed because it could be almost a normal smartphone when taken off from wrist and unfolded, the only problem is confortable phone call... maybe some kind of small wireless earphone with mic that's hidden in device just like pen in galaxy note?

A fully featured mid range phone which wraps around your wrist and becomes smartwatch would be better but its early days of foldable tech we will definitely get sometime in future

That's a nice little device! It's good to see some more innovation. I think the black one looks better.

              is interdimentional communication possible?

This thing would've been far more appealing if it was more like a smartphone & less like a smartwatch. It should be running Android OS (full-fledged with customization to enhance the watch experience) It should've had a proper phone SoC (even midrange one would do for this type of device), a wider display (to make it multimedia friendly), and a bigger battery would help too...

Currently, it is practically still just a smarter smartwatch...

Looks like Nubia also tooka hit with ZTE. Nothing really exciting from this company. They had a few good phones, but a crappy software with almost zero updates. If they jump on the Android One bandwagon, then maybe they have a chance. Just like HMD did. Otherwise they're doomed.

Ugh... This will NOT sell well
