Sony’s 5G prototype is being displayed at MWC

Though there was brief mention of 5G during Sony’s press event, it isn’t ready for the masses.

Guess Sony doesn't want to implement this feature randomly, they just want it as it should be.

    For the less technically inclined, 5g can theoretically handle speeds 100 times faster than 4g, but the real difference is latency (the time it takes devices to contact each other) that is the real game changer.

      4G/LTE is good enough for me. 5G just give vendor another chance to make more money and we have to pay more. it's unnecessary for our daily use. They want to dig deeper in our pocket

        The main advantage of using 5G today is that, since the technology is so new, only a few people could afford to utilize its speed, but because there are only a few people using 5G, the speeds will be very high, unlike 4G which is pretty much used by every smartphone user nowadays, hence the major slow downs.
        And because people will move from 4G to 5G, the casual 4G users would enjoy much improved network speeds due to the lessening of users using this network speed.
        So yeah, push forward to 5G while we enjoy the good-enough speed of 4G!

          Tbh, The current download speed is 1.6gbps per second on the Xperia one and 5g is 2gbps on the galaxy s10, average uk 4G Speeds are about 20-30mbps, so its really not essential yet until most countries sort out their internet speeds, you're just asking for more of nothing because you can't use it.

            I'm waiting sony smartphone with model classi C901 have alpha numeric keypad, big camera resolution with xenon and led flash, 5G internet connection and os android 9 or windows 10 with usb mhl or micro HDMI.
