Do you know why the feature is not making it to other phones? It's because it's not a tested reliable technology. At least if they put it in the Mate X, it will only be used by a few users. The chances of malfunctions or exploding batteries will be limited.

Notches were from essential phone and Iphone NOT Huawei all they did was copy Apple as they have been doing since the day they started making smart phones LOL

The biggest copycats and thieves to this day are Huawei and when someone else does it the fanboys get salty.
Huawei is replacing Samsung? Still to this day OEM's need Samsung for components who needs Huawei? No one thats who.

Huawei blind fanatics are too insecure to see that this flop of a foldable tablet is going to be forgotten at the end of the day. This thing's battery is going to degrade faster than you can imagine and huawei isn't even known for battery efficiency in the first place. But hey, I'd love to see them waste $2000 plus on this junk. Oh yeah, they can't afford it. Way to go Huawei!

Galaxy Fold utterly humiliated at MWC, possibly one of the most important mobile phone events globally. It matters because it changes people's perception. Huawei is now in many people's minds the King of Android, which may or may not translate to sales, and lowered sales of Samsung.

Every company takes ideas from one another so stop complaining about copying if every manufacturer does it in different aspects.

It's not about copying each-other because the structure of the phone will remain the same and all manufacturer can only make minor changes in terms of design and you will find hell lot of similarities between multiple devices from different manufacturers. As they can only change the size of the phone or the display size of the phone however changing the structure will be a huge task and will need engineering innovation and a very complex engineering and manufacturer will ask you to pay even $2000 for that and we will complaint about the price then . We should just be thankful that we have internet and different range of devices to choose from rather than debating on similar designs.

This feature will be used in the near future but not today.

Uh, are you forgetting it was Huawei whom started the camera wars? If it wasn't for them Samsung would still have 2 cameras on the S10.
Also, they were the first ones to have a SIM card tray.
Also, the first ones to use multi-colored, gradient designs on the back of their phones. Which literally all companies (except apple of course, they're always a few years behind) are using now.
You can go ahead and ignore all of Huawei's innovations, but that doesn't paint a very good picture on your knowledge of the industry.
