Xiaomi wants to triple its stores in Europe

I think the problem is that few operators to this date resell Xiaomi therefore it’s difficult for a regular “I buy my smartphone with subscription “ person to do the comparison.
Easily explained IF your carrier should have had the Mi 9 as an option in their portfolio, you would have paid 15€ per month for the same amount of data, calls and SMS with a Mi9 packed instead of 50€ for a Samsung s10. Now, if you reaaaaaly want the S10, stop reading.
In most cases operator won’t sell the Mi9 for 15€ because they will expose themselves and how much money they themselves push in to get you to buy a Samsung, iPhone etc. Most probably, a smart operator, would offer you this: a Mi 9, a M365 Scooter and a Mi Box s for the same price as you get the Samsung s10. And still they would have a bigger profit from that package than the S10.
What Xiaomi is doing is a classical differentiation with cost advantage sales and marketing strategy. You would be amazed how much like Apple their strategy is. Less marketing, letting their users becoming ambassadors and only doing marketing through blogs etc. Ofcourse there is one big difference: pricing. Where Apple has chosen to offer a high price having their own OS and already having built a superior brand awareness, Xiaomi positions itself on the other end of pricing and will actually remain there having a 0-5% profit strategy.
Will Xiaomi succeed? Probably. And even more so if all at this forum start demanding of their resellers and operators to begin selling Xioami products through their sales channels.

Just opinion , 27 Feb 2019I dont see anything good there when one country providing a... moreI for one see it as a good thing. These Chinese people get to work somewhere. It's still a country that as over billion people living in there. Like India that is basically same in that apartment. A lot of poor people too. Getting paid for working my be luxury even for some people in there. My country only have 1.3 million people and over 300k are Russian refugees from ww2 era. As so small country we dont even build anything by ourself cause we would never have enough man power to meet the need market of the world. If there be million orders and so on, thats not possible in here cause so low people number. So who are we to say they there have slave workers while the number of there population is something so big that we have no clue of how things work in there.

That 50 per month would be better if you buy out a phone that cost max as 300 dollars. Then make a contract where you dont need to pay 50 a month. I for one dont need that 15GB per month as i use something 1-2GB per month max but the deal i had before was 10 euro per month for 512mb data for like 5 years and got fed up to pay so much and got better deal. This locked for 2 years can be same that prices drop for data and calls. In my country you basically only pay for data and calls/text are mostly unlimited. Better to have open contract with lower pay per month that you can change when ever you want.

When free means you dont need to give nothing from your own and go just pick it up.
It's all in a price and marketing trick to fool people. Like people see 9.99 and say only 9 buck while it's actually 10 bucks. Especially as you see smaller number in front and then think it's cheaper, like for example. If a tv cost 399 Euro and other TV that is same with other brand name and cost 410 then people still go with the 399 cause for them the 410 looks more expensive as it's 400 buck and not 300 bucks. Nvm that 99 is basically 100

And part you didn't understand for 1200 spread in 2 yrs you get brand new flagship and all the perks like data and calls. And to remind you, the S10 alone is 900 euros.
And after 2 yrs if im gonna sell it i still can get 300 to 350 for that. Not so sure how much gonna cost a second hand Mi9 in 2 yrs

I can buy easly that Mi9 for 400 euro out in the day one and i dont need to leash it for 2 years and pay over the original price a lot thanks to the tax with the leashing. While you think your smarter to go with 50 per month, you actually are not smarter on that part. Locked in a contract in one carrier and cant change it for 2 years or then pay a lot if you want to get out of that contract. These pay 50 a month for 2 years is only win win for the carrier and they are fishing fools every day who get in that trap

You need to buy the phone to get a gift with it that is in the price and not as a free. I really hate this word FREE. Used in everywhere but never get for free. For free means you go and pick it up while dont give out nothing.

That's the... moreYap! They fi working very good after 3-4-5 years. I have a friend, who present me Xiaomi phones, that has a phone 4 terasa old. At the end of Șpring he want to change with a new one, but the old will ne used by his kid.
Exemples like this are everywere but you have to look after.
