Errm. Why do I need a TV in my phone? A phone is for calling, music, maybe camera, and other fun on the go, maybe carry a few movies or tv shows or even porn if you have a decent screen like iphone 4 or Galaxy note. BUT A TV antenna? Whats next from Nokia? A phone that can move a satellite? A phone that can remotely launch nukes at North Korea?

Knowing Mr Elop he will stop this phone from being sold Globally to improve Nokia sales,as they produce there Best phone the N9 but Mr Elop was so scared of is old employees Windows phone being a Failure the N9 was not sold Globally,Lumia 800 as been alot of Wasted money at Nokia, but Mr Elop does not seem to realise that Windows is to Restricted as Symbian was alot easier to transfer data between phones an pcs,Android is more like Symbian so Nokia should have chose this instead of Windows,i left Nokia an got the Samsung Galaxy S2 because of Windows Restrictions,an loads will do the same

Warren-G, 27 Dec 2011Your analysis is wrong. Outdated Symbian is to blame. Nokia... moreWrong about? You're not bright are you? Nokia's main income for their mobile division comes from the sales of cheap cell phones in developing market, their smart phone market share is hurting in recent years. This is due to Symbian, I never said it was not. You're a fool to think WP7 is not a failure, WP7 market share is decreasing which is laughable since their current market share is lower than launch. Nokia Lumia 800 sales are piss poor in the UK, capturing only 0.17% smartphone market share for the month of November, losing to devices such as Samsung Galaxy S II and Iphone 4S which launched MONTHS before the Lumia 800 meaning initial demand for both of those devices have pretty much died off, also don't forget that mobile carrier ORANGE UK was running a promotion in which anyone who bought a Lumia 800 or upgraded to one received a FREE xbox 360.

So, again tell me how come WP7 market share is not gaining any traction? You do know that the Lumia 800 uses Mango which every WP7 user kept touting as a "the real WP7 device". Why is it that Nokia still refuses to release numbers of initial sales of their devices? Probably because its piss poor performance, Nokia only released numbers for the 5800 touch screen because it was cheap and it sold huge amounts because everyone was hoping it would be the Iphone competitor, that however was not the case, that led people to regret their purchases and forgo Nokia as a brand of choice.

Judging by the icons it looks like Symbian Anna at least, but not Symbian 3>

                      4 home screens?

"...our first thought when we saw the freshly announced Nokia 801T was that we are looking at a skillfully made Chinese clone"

...pretty much sums up why Chinese phones look the way they do.

Do you think Nokia's smart phone market share is actually helping? Their cell phone market share is basically diminishing at an alarming rate. Even their push for WP7 is a failure.

Everyone quit hating. Nobody said this was aimed to be the mobile king or that it's the best or you have to get this one. So STFU! Nokia does not make the most advanced phones, but they have always been good. They have a lot of experience and time in them. And it's not like every Droid comes out with ICS or GINGERBREEAD.

I understand that on the production model, the antenna can be detached.

This is to facilitate use as either a:
                                      stylus
                                      toothpick
                                      left-handed chopstick
                                      ....or, finally....
                                      a rectal thermometer.

                                        This is such a shame.
