Nicely done, Huawei. I know Mate 9 will be updated to Pie as last time its listed in Project Treble. So both my previous Honor 8 Pro & my wife Mate 9 still a decent phone.
Now we both rocking Mate 20! But still, the previous Mate 9 & Honor 8 Pro is a keeper.

Huawei annoy me at times, i knew that software updates more so for tablets wasnt going to be the best, but come on i have the m5 mediapad 10 which currently is their flagship tablet and a beta has been going on in china for Pie for nigh on 3 or 4 months now and still no final in sight, no point asking huawei reps as they know nothing

2.5 years old Mate 9 is getting Android 9 update. Very impressive Huawei. 👍

I have been using this phone, and was thinking to buy new … but baam !
After checking out gsmarena , I checked my phone service app, then I was listed for update … it's around 3.4 GB … initially looked strange after update ,but changing fonts size and all ...
If anyone hoping for Android 9, don't worry ... There will surely be update …
My phone is 4gb version ...So definitely there will be update for all

Look here LG, HTC, Sony and Motorola how updates are done. Even for devices that are 2 years old or more.. something to learn.
