Tim Cook says Apple is “rolling the dice” on products that will “blow you away”

01 March 2019
There was vague mention of future AirPods and Apple Watch products, but that's about it.

Sounds like apple is going super nova , lots of people think when a company is at its peak it's at its safest but that logic is flawed because you can't fall without height/altitude

Suns burn brightness when they are about to die, so if apple actually starts doing well in the near future it might be a sign of decline more than anything else

I feel sometimes really sad about apple... my first smartphone was an Iphone 5 and it definitelly was the best phone at the time without any doubt... apple is facing a heavy war in the smartphone industry considering that basically EVERYDAY new divices are coming out and Apple just puts a new Iphone version in the table once a year... innovating is not so easy and its even harder when you have a time gap so big that the other brands got more than enough time to put LITERALLY EVERYTHING they could in their smarphones before you did. thanks to Apple the smartphone industry is what it is so they have their merit well earned

i'm willing to bet that these products will be completely underwhelming

So a non-event speech, said nothing even vaguely solid, this was a desperate, blatantly obvious attempt to try and keep major investors happy or at least less worried.
It sounds like Flopple are vaguely hoping to find something supposedly earth shattering brilliant that lots of folk will fork out money for, while hoping folk will keep buying stale old hardware with another slight refresh for the next few years, basicaly it sounds like they don't realy have a clue what their going to do, except continue to leech more and more profit from their "service" side.. Anyone thinking that Flopple will find another idiot-phone type device to drive another bug surge in hardware sales is out of luck, its not going to happen, the world has changed an awful lot in the last ten years, you will never again see huge lines of people lined up for days, desperate to buy an over-priced, over-hyped piece of hardware.
If there was any chance that at some point in the next 2-3 years that Flopple was going to release something they even suspected might bring a big surge in hardware sales, you would have heard vague rumours or hints by now, to help firm up investors confidence and prop stock/share price up, the fact that such hints etc are not about anywhere says an awful lot about Flopples future.. Profits and "growth" are mostly going to come from "services".. Let's have a quick mind project on here... What can people think of or imagine that is, new, that lots of folk would want or need, and that Flopple could make and sell in sensible numbers, preferably world wide ?

Hopefully they are planning SE 2. Anything else would be underwhelming. We need a smartphone which is comfortable in real life usage, not another phablet.

ZloiYuri, 02 Mar 2019LG phones are worst in terms of quality and updates. If the... moreif you say so, yes, they are some problems like screen bleeding, and not so constant drain, sometimes it drain like no tomorrow, others it last forever, i can say wrong about updates tho...since my G6 are gettin every month security patch, and will receive pie late this june.

otherwise i can agree with you, its the best money i spend on a phone, since for the same price i only buy low to mid range specs phone, and with 270 i buy a 2017 high end so, for the price, i cant go wrong.

For people who cant afford more than 350 phone, LG last year phones are great and in price point for what you get, is worth for real.

AnonD-241270, 02 Mar 2019you cant say that, not about LG cause i only use LG phones,... moreLG phones are worst in terms of quality and updates. If there is any bug in firmware - they will NEVER fix it. If LG phones are out of life cycle (immediately after model sales stop) - you will never find any original repair part - services has no any. What about worst screens? Afterburns, uneven grays, uneven backlight, burn-ins. What about power consumption? Worst on market. 6 hours of work when competitors working 9-12. There is no any reason to buy lg phone at all.

AnonD-731363, 02 Mar 2019Well apple, Samsung, Sony, LG, HTC etc all milk its custome... moreyou cant say that, not about LG cause i only use LG phones, and dont buy them when they are milky, but within few months i can grab 2 LG, let it be the V40 for the price of one S10e.

So, LG are only milky in the first half year, after that you can buy it cheap, trust me, thats why i only buy LG, price vs quality is no better out there.

AnonD-731363, 02 Mar 2019Well apple, Samsung, Sony, LG, HTC etc all milk its custome... moreWhat you say is partly true. But in the Android world tthereis nothing called loyalty unlike in the iOS,Apple world where there is no competition. If Samsung is not providing value, people will move to another Chinese OEM and Samsung clearly understands this hence they reduce prices after sometime unlike Apple...I also did that by moving to iPhone 7+, Let's, Honor etc...Android world is not like iOS world, the moment you sleep, you are left behind by miles in the competition

Tim is right. Apple had been blowing people away for the last 10 years with the shocking trajectory it had taken. It's heading towards inconsequential, mostly thanks to the onslaught of Chinese OEMs making great smartphones. Apple also grossly misused its dominant position to kill the headphone jack, get the propreitory pin and have no expandable storage. Plus its mediocre cameras till the iPhone X.

Apple could do with replacing Tim. It has veered off the path of innovation, moving towards unsettling profits and unreasonable ecosystems.

Can only imagine AR glasses. But AR would need to come to the phones first.

Hello Life, 02 Mar 2019Bro I also own the ipad pro previous gen. but I don’t feel ... moreOh really? Xender works on your iOS 12 device. Mine doesn’t work since i upgraded to iOS 12, i think someone reported them to Apple...
