It is sad when a company that gets the camera so right, end up like this. Don't believe me, look at the quality from their cameras, and the audio recording is great. But they used poor screens, when OLED should have been chucked in. Left out wireless charging, left out headphone jack. Literally killed themselves. Camera was overlooked because the rest was poor.

HTC I sincerely feel sorry for you, same way I felt for Nokia before. You have done your part magnificiently, starting from dual camera setup, smart phone design language, stereo speakers (android). HTC was one of the first to adopt android for mobile phone and yeah the pioneers die easy.

The question is, is HTC still well known for a brand? At least in SE Asia, nobody cares about HTC anymore. Heck, whenever I see someone with an HTC phone (which is already rare), the person is 99% Taiwanese. But even in Taiwan, HTC brand is not that big anymore, and outside Taiwan, they're no longer a favorite brand.

Competition is tough. No one can last forever. They just didn't evolve and all these other chinese companies coming through have made it way too hard for HTC to operate. This is their only way to survive unless they innovate something beyond the other Chinese brands. Which is almost impossible in the end game smartphone market.
