If the trend continues and the quality is also maintained (rather controlled as in iOS) I'm ready to embrace the WP7 in the near future, while saying bye bye to android which is with me from over a couple of years now.

I could care less about the number of apps, as long as the marketplace isn't littered with shitty apps that plagues the other 2 already.

market place even does not offer regular gps soft such as tom tom,copilot etc so you cannot use your phone as a gps

as a former owner of htc mozart must say that wp apps are not useful much.their market place cannot compete to android market.in fact I am not sure but I think wp count mp3 in market as well because when I was searching something on marketplace it was always full of mp3 with just a few apps

It's not a surprie for me. Nokia was the bigest company, and with Microsoft will going to rule the world: The Best software with good devices, not that "superphones" who consume all the batter in one day or less...i write this with a Motorola XT860, and believe me, if a can, will going to change this for Nokia 800, 900 or the N9...

Apple has nothing to sue microsoft over, its the oppisite for amdroid.
Microsoft gets money for the android devices made by all the major companies.

Quality is also important, not just quantity. BadaOS has lots of apps but most of them are total useless crap. So number of apps means nothing if they are rubbish.

Firstly, Windows phgone is not Windows Mobile, so it has not been out since before iOS.
Secondly, All marketplaces have some apps that are worthless rubbish, so there is no distinction there.
Thirdly, as an Account Manager I am aware that it is the duty of the representitive to know the product and sell the best suited to the customers requirements, do not blame the product if you do not know the product.
This is a viable ecosystem that I would recommend all parties who intend to use a Smartphone to investiuate as an option to iOS and Android.

well, i don't know about this 50,000 apps in WP oS, but one thing is of sure phone based on windows platform have promising future.
its different and cool...............
and i am just waiting something good with a front facing cam on nokia series

It's good to see an alternative OS making some headway. Unfortunately if they make any more progress then I'm sure Apple will find something to sue them for!

the day apps like go launcher ex, poweramp, or SPB shell 3d appear on windows phone android gotta have like 70% marketshare

I guess it's time for you to read the news: WP7 - not to be mistaken with Windows Mobile - is a 1-year old operating system. As you will notice on the stats, it reached 50000 much faster than Android, so, from that perspective, it is rather impressive!

give me a uni mould metalic version of W7 with 4.3 screen and 5MP / 2MP camera and 8mm thin I will buy immidiately. Hope HTC will get one of these in their desire series design. Nokia please build a metalic version of WP like the build quality of slim E72....
Or can some one tell me if I can flush the iPhone and load W7 similarly to mac books or mac mini....:)

this is actually good news. It means that WP phones can be in the competition against the 2 Giants as well.. Looking forward to wat WP phone can do in the future :).
