If you could understand what i said you would see that i totally concur with you. I am not from US as well and I see people around me buying Huawei devices without knowing their data is being theft. Huawei is just a copycat and a threat to the web world.

Huawei is REFUSING to supply Kirin chipsets to Chinese Government because that would automatically put them into an disadvantageous position in semiconductor development. Huawei doesn't want to giveaway any of their technologies to their rival company ZTE, which also happens to be owned by the government. In-house SoC also allows them to differentiate their products from the rest of the Chinese phones as it enables them to use newer fabrication and process node before Qualcomm releases the next generation Snapdragon chipset, which gives their Mate series a huge advantage in terms of performance. Plus, Snapdragon chipsets don't fully support their camera systems.

I read your comment again and I will partially agree with you.
Just like you said, I probably won't be anything worth to them, even if they spy on me, nor the average customer.
But still, Huawei needs to come out to all those worried customers with statements and proof that they won't spy/haven't spied, so that others can sleep well.
There also needs to be an option to togle all those stuff so that no one can track you.

And no, I'm not from the States, but many other countries (just like I said), for Example UK, have started banning Huawei's equipment and may soon kick them out from the phone market as well.
At a first glance these devices seem normal, but nobody really knows what's going in the background without investigating, and that's what some people did, and now there are many worried.
Why do you think Huawei retains from using Snapdragon processors? They don't want somebody else tuning them, because they want to take control over the processor, so they make their own, filled with spyware and god knows what else. If its really what you're saying then people should just stop banning Huawei and bring it back in the USA.
Read some articles and you will see. Huawei aren't like they used to. They just try to sneak up and steal something that others worked years and years hard for it and say they did the best. Does this remind you of something? Oh yes, Apple. Exactly the same thing, because Huawei nowadays is just wannabe Apple. They just copy from others, and try to be like Apple, but they miserably fail. Asides from its camera that's on point (thank god, because the S10 family has bad image processing), everything else is just a no - no. You may trust them, but many citizens in my country don't. I really hope it's not true, but day and day on, there are more talks about Huawei spying.
I do check things carefully before I write tho.

General people commonly thinks that who am I? I am nobody and what will a company/Chinese Govt./CIA/US Govt. will do with my data? But you don't understand that you are just an unit. maybe specifically not you but 1M of you will make a cluster of data and that is what they want. US have been spying on us as well as their own people for so long but any given day I will put my biscuit in a democratic country(basket) rather than a dictatorial one. Huawei is well known for being cheat: issues include stealing data, faking benchmark results, use of DSLR photos as phone photo etc. etc. No matter what you want to believe or what let you sleep tight but it doesn't change the fact that rise of Chinese companies will not bring any good. Remind that they don't care about any ethics commonly regarded in the rest of the world. You can put your head anywhere you wish but better not mock others who understands more than you on this matter.
