IMO, I really hope companies can give more innovative approach to every aspects of new phones. P20 is very innovative in this category IMO, but P30 seems not. It is just an improved version basing on camera of Mate 20 Pro. The periscope zoom lens has already been announced for many years. If my memory is correct, it is OPPO, not Huawei, announced this technology.
I really like new innovative approach for smartphone photography, and dislike those tiny improvements with premium upgrade prices.

The question was all about the P30 Lite also have Kirin 980.

Kirin 980 has good performance very close to snapdragon 855 and 8nm exynos. It's not that old of a chipset came out late 2018.

They give updates every 3 months. Come on Huawei what is wrong with you. I also need to give 60$ to unlock my bootloader. That is insane.

It is hard to justify P30 at this stage as all the information are basically rumors. But at this point, this phone is far from perfect IMO, the improvement in camera department is not obvious.

Its funny that people said that Kirin 980 cant catch up with the current SOC whereas on real life, no apps & games can make it lag.

                                Kirin 970 > SD835
                                Kirin 980 > SD845
                                Kirin 990 > SD855

Its a never ending cycle, goes the same to Snapdragon. Guys, the better score only on the specsheet, Kirin 980 still a very good flagship SOC that can deliver for another 2-3 years.
