Maybe because of the fact that no Note7 actually exploded, but just caught on fire but journalists have a tendency to rely on sensationalism to attract views so they said the device actually exploded and now people think it was actually blowing up?

Yet Samsung manages to be present enough to bother renaming everything to Galaxy, even the printed branding (No SAMSUNG at the back, it's written Galaxy lol) and open its biggest store ever there.
You do what you must. As long as it's not stealing Intellectual Property from others, that's actually good

They omit "Samsung" in their branding in Japan. If you go on the Japanese Galaxy website you'll only see Samsung at the very bottom.
