Android Q may be in the pipeline,but for the next few months at least Android 9 is still the latest version,so what's your issue?
Instead of casting aspersions,praise them for supporting their devices with updates up to their 3 - 4 years life with MIUI..

Yet, most firms did not do it well, and just damage the smooth experience Android should have. IMO, Oneplus and Sony is doing better in this category in making the OS more fluid.

Miui doesn't benefit from newer Android versions! The most important is that you have latest Miui version,and not Android version! Miui is always more protected than Android!
