All other companies use their skin but there are android pie features available in their skin whereas in xiaomi no matter which android version it is built upon it would not make the android features available to you. There are a couple of phones which are on miui 10 based on android pie but there is not a single feature of android pie in miui 10. Android pie features only come with miui 11.

The problem is it is Android Pie behind MIUI, some functions will not be available. Basically, most manufacturers try to highlight their product with a modified version of OS, and basically most of their efforts are not welcomed by customers, IMO.
