I got xz 2 and mate 20 pro, and difference is clear. Same goes for S10e/S10 which also has same difference.
Yea, maybe people can't tell, but once you see the images on the screen its so blatanly obvious which has 2K. Similar with TVs (like 1080 is fine but once you see 4k, its just so much better)

Most customers cant tell the difference and as someone who works in phone shops its a feature that is very rarely cared about.

Utterly pointless phones, too big, too expensive and with nothing that anybody needs or has asked for. No wonder mobile sales are falling.

vrvly, 15 Mar 2019F1.6 basically means better colors, will be interesting to ... moreNo, F1.6 means it captures 30% more light than F1.8, at the expense of sharpness especially around corners. I know Huawei wanted the Pro model to have bigger numbers for marketing purpose, but I wish they put their focus on the image quality and sticked to sharper F1.8 lens instead.

F1.6 basically means better colors, will be interesting to compare to xperia1 with it's small sensor. 12mp mode would be great though.

Besides, the addition of OIS to the main camera would be far more beneficial than the change of the camera sensor. I can't guarantee anything, but I would expect a really good photography performance.
Also, the P30 Pro won't have the jack. Only the non-pro will.
As for Face ID, you can't have that on a waterdrop notch... So say goodbye to that.

Also those phones did not have OIS for the main camera, so this would also be a big improvement. It also means that video recording performance could be much better this time around... At least i hope it is.

But P30 Pro was rumored to have 38MP camera and P30 is almost Mate 20 Pro without FaceID and has 3.5mm jack

Differences at a glance (between P30 Pro & Mate 20 Pro):
Camera: Primary f1.8, OIS, Secondary: Seems to be same: Third: 5x Optical + 10x Hybrid zoom
Front Camera: 32MP (if this is the same one as the Vivo phone, then it is THE best selfie camera you can get, go see reviews for that one)
Display: 1080p only (not impressive... looking forward to see Huawei's excuse for this one)
Other: P30 non-Pro also gets IP68 certification. That's good.
Overall: IMO it's looking good for the most part. Hopefully the camera will deliver an exceptional result across the board.
