On german news reports we hear the opposite. That germany will not hear on NATO Head US general to end Huaweis connection in german 5G networks because intelligence agencies won't communicate on 5G network at all but use other ways.

Huawei can't be trusted.
German intelligence says so, or US intelligence??
There are various countries that are banning Huawei equipment, and so far, there isn't a single shred of hard evidence supporting US claims. Of course, no one will step up and say "here is the evidence", due to the so called "national security".
Even the smartphone industry can't escape from politics. Sad.

As an ordinary user, I just hope the 5G phones, no matter what the brand is, getting as cheap as possible.

The entire spying thing about Huawei is FAKE NEWS made by the US... Mark my words.
What are the chances that iPhone is spying on you and collecting data from you? I bet it's not any higher than the chance that Huawei is doing the same thing. You need actual solid proof rather than just listening to some president who cannot qualify to be one.

EU want to kill internet freedom too. So no this news isnt anything special.
Everyone is spying on everyone and everyone whine about spying. Then every app you install dont even let to use it if you dont allow spying.
Useless paranoia about it. If 5G is made by some other the Huawei then how is that safer ? If hackers want to get info then it does not matter what network they are in or who made the devices for it.

You can hide code in the firmware and you can never have access to it unless you know how. That's what they are doing or at least that's what they are being accused of among other things.
Also, 5G means a lot faster internet. In 5 seconds a whole database can be stolen.
Please provide us some real information where Google actually killed people, unlike the chinese gvt which has concentration camps for people being different, whether they're a religious minority, or gay, or they simply want FREEDOM.
You people need to go to school and study! It's people like you that will drag us into WW3! Shame!

based on what incidents?
Theren are no proof of any allegations the US came up in the past year.
US forcing other countries to leave Huawei 5G equipments, so there is only 2 companies in the EU (Nokia, Ericsson) to capable to built 5G, less competitors, could end up higher price.
And Cisco in the US with no competiton. US agencies have to surviellance only one system.
I don't know rest like Australia, New Zealand etc. They might end up buying equipments from US.

The article says it all, the US is hinting that future intelligence sharing agreements will be jeopardized if Huawei is accepted. In otherwords this is just BND having a vested interest in getting access to US information. So course they will say whatever gets them the main benefit. BND doesn't necessarily have the same interest as the telecommunication sector which simply just wants the best and cheapest implementation.
