Currently using the codeworkx CM9 alpha, works well, few bugs here and there but very usable.

This must be the most ugly UI ever.
I , as always , will put a custom Rom.

Guys, you are all missing one impotant thing: there's no mention of the GPU rendering of the screen. Wasn't ICS supposed to have that feature? There's no mention of it anywhere, not even in the galaxy nexus. This feature was supposedly going to utilize the true power of the dual core, but there's no word of it.

[deleted post]touchwiz provides so much functionality that you would miss it terribly if you were to scrap it.

the shortcuts in the notification bar and full divx support just to name a couple

Anonymous, 03 Jan 2012after tve treatment tvey gave for their last year's flagshi... moreYou can't say going to one of the other brands that has hardware that is not as good, as you put it. HTC and SE have said the same thing at update time and then they had to change their minds after the negative back lash. HTC said that they wouldn't be updating the Desire to gingerbread and SE was at least a year behind in updating a couple of phones. It's frustrating that all these companies come out with the news that they're not going to update and then all the users complain and then they somehow find a way.

these smartphones arent intended to last for life its not the nature of the beast, those decrying and moaning about this need to wake up and get used to it or switch to a feature phone which doesnt evolve

As you can tell, the Galaxy S now has been updated all the way to Gingerbread, and rumor has it that they might give it ICS too, while my Desire is stuck on the good old Froyo with absolutely no plans for any further updates

I just hate the look of the touchwiz ui. The official ICS UI is the best ui for android i have ever seen. Lets hope they give an option to turn off touchwiz.

But knowing sammy they will integrate it into the OS.

There are many alternate ui's available in android market. Is it possible to release stock ics ui as an app to install over the touchwiz???
