The device looks sleek but the crease might be a problem when consuming media.

          its thick as a brick

Not really enticing.....even after folding it is like a normal mobile. Mate X looks practical but both of them costing a fortune really needs very close and long look at it. People are not gaining anything big with each mobile iterations....they get bored changing too frequently and getting conned in the process. Refresh Cycles must be three years and software support & services must be atleast for 3-4 years to justify the cost. Next gen mobiles must focus on modular ones instead of use and throw types

Price is not everything. Remember that.

Personally I want neither of these. I'll wait for the 2nd or 3rd generation to be out.

Mr Magma, 20 Mar 2019Screen quality looks cheap. Same goes for the Huawei one. Both of them use same display.

As long as we do not see how these two foldable phones perform in real life, we cannot be sure if it is Samsung problem or a problem related to all foldable display.
By the way, it is clear that it is a display and since Huawei is using the same display as Samsung, I am sure Mate X will also face the same problem.

So, in short, stop criticizing phones just because you want to, FANBOY.

I'd be okay with a crease like that (it's probably invisible with backlight anyway), but if a new phone has it, then after a year or two of using it I'd be worried about it getting much worse.

Huawei made a better foldable phone which looks way better. this samsung ones looks like a cheap copy with a notchh loool

as long as there is no advantage over a 6,4" phone in my pocket I won't buy a foldable phone, though Im really into the idea and willing to pay - but ye, overall size needs to shrink. Wanting a 4,5" housing (moto G1 was the best size) while the inner screen offers 6,5" or smth, would be nice. Right now alot of my friends keep their money because of overall phone sizes are way too huge - e.g. they are like 1,50m/1,60m in body size - even the smallest Xperia slips off their hands.

Worse than i expected. Ugly and not stylish. Not confident on those screens durability either. I'll continue with regular phones for a long long time if not forever watching those bulky designs.

If swiping 3-4 times to unlock the screen is responsive, we have different standards. I heard you need to click Maps 3 time to open the app, too.

Looks very breakable. Don't understand the use-case for this device, I really don't.
