I'm from the Philippines.Hi, I also have A8+. Are you having the same issue with me, since the update, the moisture detection keeps on notifying even though my phone is dry and did not have any contact with liquids. I am having a hard time charging my phone since it won't allow saying my charging port still has a moisture.

Maria, 21 Mar 2019Could you please tell your experience of Pie on Galaxy A8 2018?One UI / Android Pie is looking quite nice and brings all the features we already know from other devices (like the Galaxy S9 which I owned last december with the latest update). After installing the update (which takes around 15-20 minutes until the process finished) the phone didn't ran as smooth as I expected. But that was only the first minutes after the Update and the configuration of the smartphone (I did a full factory reset after the update -> app download, costomized settings, ...) was finished. Now I am really happy with the update: Nightmode is on board (and it's activated from the first second :) ), the Always on Display got coloured Icons and my personal opinion is that One UI quite looks better. Samsung did a good job with this update. I can't say anything about the battery life at the moment because I only did one full charge directly after the update, but I am quite positive - phone still has 54% of battery capacity right now (09.00 a.m.; 2 hours Display-on-time).
The camera also got an update: Now it's possible to use a zoom-feature with only one click on the new created Icon. It's the same Icon like the Galaxy S9+ but I think it's only a digital zoom feature as the Galaxy A8 doesn't have a special zoom camera or something like that...

Maria, 21 Mar 2019Could you please tell your experience of Pie on Galaxy A8 2018?I have just installed Android 9.0 pie on my galaxy a8 2018 had lags for the first few hours but now it works okay. just like previous version did.

Galaxy A8 (2018) receives Android 9 Pie here in Germany too! Security Patch Level March 2019, total size of the update about 1.400 MB.
