I would be celebrating with them, if the Mi A2 wasn't the phone with the buggiest firmware updates ever (three months in a row of eff-ups!), and wasn't aware of the fact their "Global Service" got their name as an internal joke -- there is no global service, it's sarcastic naming, brace yourself to the excruciating pain of dealing with them.
To top this off, my Mi A2 has just failed once again... seriously considering to write it off and just say "good riddance".

I have used 3 Redmi devices till now. I used a Redmi Note 3 for 2 years. Then upgraded to a Redmi 5. Now I have a Redmi Note 7. My wife uses a Redmi Note 4. Her sister who is studying uses a Redmi 5A. My domestic help uses a Redmi 5.
All these devices are working just great. Never been to a service station except once for the 5A and that too was because my sister in law had switched off the mobile while it was updating the OS which lead to a corrupted boot sequence.
Great job. Reliable devices at affordable prices.

No wonder. It is not all about the price, you can find cheaper options but xiaomi devices they work vey well. I love my roborock vacuum cleaner and I just received Mi9, it is perfect phone. Keep doing great job!

Have a Mi 3 in the family that was bought in 2014 and it still works perfectly. Xiaomi deserves their success for making high quality phones and selling them at low prices.

Anonymous, 20 Mar 2019Sometimes they simply follow apple and make stupid decision... moreAs I understand it they don't spend vast amounts of money on sales and marketing overhead and they don't build up huge cash piles.
We have their digital scales and they are excellent, right down to using cheap AAA cells rather than expensive lithium. It's a pity the phones are so big and not waterproof.
