Weekly poll: Are tablets still relevant?

24 March 2019
We sort of have the feeling that Apple's new AirPods caused more excitement than the new iPads. Where did the "post PC" era go wrong?

If its an ipad, yes, if it is not, then no
Apps dont take or are hard to be for touch...only iOS apps are made from top to bottom for the tablet mode

Remember: the new thing now its the smartphone FOLDABLE thing
Surface tried with its laptop-tablet, now they try with smartphone-tablet

High end? Maybe no, big phones cover that market already. Low end? Looking at these devices existence even in street food seller tents, I think yes.

@GSMarena: This poll is missing one option: "No, I don't care about tablets [and hate big phones]"

Not really, though there's a small number of people that still use them.
It all depends on what kind of a user you are, if you use it for work also, not only games and videos.
Personally I don't like them because they're too big and uncomfortable to hold and use, though I can see the benefits of big displays. Especially if you do work on one.
They are also excellent for kids. It really helps them understand technology while being fun at the same time. I've seen some great programming games for kids.
But for everyday use, most of the people don't use them.
These foldable phones will merge the smartphones and tablets, but I really hope they'll fix those horrible creases in the middle of the display..

              none of the options above.

smartphone + laptop is a very strong and complete combination to do everything, much better than having unnecessary tablets. The ONLY advantage/points I see for having tablets are 1) if you are looking a cheap and POWERFUL gadget to do powerful long video editing, cheap iPads are a huge advantage because iphones/other high-end phones and powerful laptop are expensive, 2) if you are a specialised designer doing some advanced drawing (which most people aren't)

I like phone small no worries of bending in your pocket, big tablet 10" for when I'm home

Tablets haven't been relevant since a while. I don't see a future for them either, now that we have foldable phones which practically become tablets after unfolding.
