      Even if you don't have any information that you consider sensitive, it is still your personal information. If they want to send your information to their own servers or any other third-party servers, they have to ask for your consent first.
      Collecting things in secret is not how it should work.
      And, also, as the amount of your personal information piles up, somebody can find some pattern that may (or may not) harm you. As one of Ted-Ed video had said: given enough sample, recognisable pattern(s) will emerge.

        Meh, I don't care. I'd be glad to let them have my data because they will have no idea and ill intent on what to do with my basic information. No credit card details on my phone, no pr0n, nothing. Come to think of it, I'll be unlocking the bootloader of my Nokia 8 right after I bought Meizu 16S. I don't think Meizu has ever done wrong yet...

Now u gonna say china and taiwa... moreThe thing here is that: HMD-Nokia is sending data to the server vnet.cn which is the CNNIC or China Internet Network Information Center. The owner of the domain is China’s state-owned China Telecom. So they are sending private information to the Chinese goverment.

            An alleged fake european company HMD plenty of Nokia employees... (false or we never watch them) only some with big paid pockets... are agree to send private data to the Chinese govermet as that software is in their phones. It doesn't matter if those are for Asia, Europe or US. A sited company in Europe (Finland) "IS BREAKING EUROPEAN LAWS" out there.

            After Finland’s data regulator launch an investigation against HMD Global, the EU commision will do it soon too, and the hammer will hit hard that false cover business.

                  So yes, try Android One with a real tech maker, I' m conviced that it's something much more better...

                  And for your info, the data sending isn't stopped yet, they've to push an update to correct that.

                          The Finish part of Nokia phones is just marketing. All the rest, the device, what at the end you will have in your hand, what you will really consume is just shit: Cheap OS, outdated hardware, too much bugs and too much deceptions at the end.

                          Do not focus on reviewers, bloggers, tubers,... Focus on people comments and you will see these phones are just full of promises and still more in deceptions.

                          As said before, but I don't use their products because they are hardly findable in my country, maybe the best will be to try Xiaomi with Android One, because they are much more in advance in software optimization than the fake finish phone maker.

                              It's great that it was discovered. Now they can not deny that they are Chinese Chinese. Removing the app is cosmetic. It has been a small mistake, but they will put another one hidden soon. Perhaps it has been discovered thanks to the promised unlock bootloader. They may, like Huawei, decide to block them again in the future.
