Anonymous, 23 Mar 2019The only thing 3/3T will miss out is system wide dark mode ... moreDo u even use Oxygen OS? We've
had system wide dark mode for ages now. And it's not going anywhere with pie. I saw MKBHD's video of new features coming with Android Q, more than half of those r already present in Oxygen OS.

Anonymous, 23 Mar 2019The only thing 3/3T will miss out is system wide dark mode ... moreOnePlus already has that & u can choose the accent colours of the theme as well

My 3T is faster and smoother now than it was on Marshmallow! Looking forward to Pie stable :)

Guys if you have OP 3/T and your device slows down it's 95% battery health. Replace battery and you are good to go. It's still not worth replacing for the average and almost heavy user.

woah! thats pretty amazing an Android Manufacturer actually officially doing 3 Major OS upgrades, definitely made me think about getting one of their flagship phones in the near future.

Given the age of the phone (in model time) anything new for the 3T will probably slow it down. I have yet to see any reverse compatibility.

The only thing 3/3T will miss out is system wide dark mode on Android Q. Plagued with full white theme Android Pie.

Xypleth, 23 Mar 2019Not really, the OP3 gets the 3rd update, because it's basic... moreSamsung S and Notes are basically the same with Note only having spen and Note never launched with latest android and both get two updates same for LG G and V series except V20 launched with latest android

LG Superfan, 23 Mar 2019That means it will be getting its 3rd major update IMPRESSI... moreNot really, the OP3 gets the 3rd update, because it's basically the same as the OP3T, which was released 3 months after Nougat update was released, which should have launched with the OP3T, instead it launched later next year, but on the regular 3 as well.

Don't get flattered, it was mostly just a coincidence. The Oxygen OS, while mostly stable, had many struggles and issues, but one of the most stable for a budget phone... OnePlus phones are just flagship Chipset, Frame & Display, with budget everything else. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for, and it all depends what you value in a phone.
Cutting edge, cheap price, or stable OS. Haven't seen a phone combining all these 3 attributes.

definitely will buy honor/huawei again in future.. ..

(EMUI is not that great , but i can live with it . )

Daany, 23 Mar 2019Mehn you can't wait to rip on Sony... We all know 3 major A... moreNo, he's rightfully thrashing on Sony. The XZs launched with Nougat & should've received Pie update. It was a flagship phone, and it was released in 2017, so it deserved 2 OS updates like all other flagships. Sony really dropped the ball on that one & they deserve to be thrashed.

Faheem, 23 Mar 2019Thats a good sign for OnePlus, compare to sony. Xperia XZs ... moreMehn you can't wait to rip on Sony... We all know 3 major Android updates is still something special. Its not the norm. Why even rip sony on this I have no idea.

                              Woow!

Good for OnePlus, but for anyone who compares to other Brands, they need to realize OnePlus only have 9 total phones in their existence, not hard to have later updates for that many devices. And remember Samsung on Nougat still has more features than stock or Oxygen on Pie. And Samsung's Pie is way better than stock pie.

With this move, OnePlus has gained a lot of respect from me. 3 years of OS updates is not something you see often on the Android world.

It also makes the OnePlus phones more appealing than Pixel ones. Just install gcam on it & you're not far off in the photography department either.

FullmetalJun, 23 Mar 2019So it's getting 3 major updates! That's impressiveIt's costs too much compare to others, do they HAVE to prove it worth it. And you know, to support one phone per year (and one with slight difference,) - it's not a big work. At least Lineage OS doing the same better quicker and for free.
