If they want this to be successful, they better make this available on pc and android as well. Otherwise, they would be cutting off large portion of potential subscribers.

Oh boy, can't wait for it to be an absolute garbage in my region (Central Europe), because we're treated by everyone like some sort of 3rd world country... :rolleyes: It's one of reasons I ditched Netflix. It costs more in € than it does for Americans in $ and we get like 1/4 of the content they have. Stupid.

You need their special expensive yet outdated devices to run their expensive subscription models!! Tried iTunes and tuned out to be dear meat in our region where the content is non existent and on top of that you need to buy content etc...even with free Amazon Prime I couldn't find time for such content streaming services... So many subscriptions, completely useless... At least to me

I can imagine, apple trying to charge up to GBP200/HK$2000/US$250 per year for combined package of apple music, apple tv plus and apple arcade per year subscription, for the complete entertainment package, but will they have unique and exciting content to entice their audience, i doubt it, esp in the long term, maybe some people will try for a odd month or two, but it hard to see that people will commit more than a few months for their expected content for these services.

Hope this spurs other content services to up their game. there is no way I can use this even if the content was attractive. I think anyone signing up for "exclusive" apple tv content will be shooting themself in the foot. anything exclusive to only people that own apple products is a terrible way to market content.

While their Apple Game Subscription is essentially playing iOS Games natively and requires iOS Hardware to drive it. This does not.
They could essentially open this for iPods, iPhones, iPads, iTV's now. And soon for iLaptops/iMacs. But it wouldn't take much to offer this Application and its services to built-in TV's from Sony, LG, Samsung. Not to mention opening it up for Web Browsers, Windows, and even Android devices.
*then again, Apple could make iOS Apps run on servers and simply stream the graphics to players like PS Now/GeForce Experience/Google Stadia. But the result is reduced graphical fidelity (compression), reduced framerate (30fps), and reduced smooth controls (latency). Somehow I don't think the global internet is quite ready, and I think Apple already knows this.

Another good idea. Being able to pick a single channel such as showtime or HBO, without having it bundled with stuff I do not want, sounds great.

Honestly Netflix is the best content creator ever even though they are at least 15 times smaller than CW and 70 times smaller than Disney
