Xiaomi has investors to answer to too, business is all about generating profit no investor is handing around for so many years now on mythical 5% margins and volume sales. The investors of Xiaomi are plenty happy because margins are much higher than the laughably low 5% publicly claimed. You then have to ask yourself, where is that extra money coming from? The Chinese govt. The Chinese govt in return gets backdoors on all their phones to gather information from around the world where these phones get sold.
Oh and what's that you were saying? Amazon doesn't have the same value as Xiaomi?! LOL are you for real? Do you even know the market capitalization of Amazon? It's neck and neck with Apple but the shares are valued way way more than Apple. Xiaomi is like toothless cat next to Goliath that is Amazon. You are mainland Chinese aren't you? ;) Only the PRC can buy into such hogwash sold to them by their communist dictatorship. Putting an English name "Gary" infront of your Chinese names like most Chinese around the world do isn't fooling anyone.

The cuts is what matters to Amazon, profits on said products is not Amazon's concern, that purely the seller/OEM's problem. When Amazon offers discounts it's not them, it's the seller/OEM offering said discounts.

The phone market is changing, its gravitating more brands that are able to deliver a good experience for the fraction of the price. It is clear that this will end up hurting the big boys like Samsung and apple.

If you really must, then first check for custom ROM scene development support. If there is some, then get the phone and remove their crappy OSes. That's where the Chinese state likes to get their information from, so do what you must to deprive them of it. Once the Chinese state looses the ability to spy outside of china, the prices of these so called dirt cheap phones will go way up. Without state funding how can these companies stay afloat at cut throat prices? ;)
The "volume sales and low margins" story sold by the like of Xiaomi is classic snake oil BS. If anyone outside of China truley believes that hogwash, then I have this here nice bridge to sell....

Everyone here is off topic. The component market for Samsung Electronics is on decline. Not the mobile division. Got nothing to do with pricing whatsoever. Component market decline also mean the global market buying less from Samsung. Also mean every brand out there might experience decline because they not buying enough component so there will be less smartphone releases unless they buying component from other companies. That OLED part is quite surprising as I know there are more phone converting to oled from lcd. Maybe in 2nd quarter it could get better.

I went with the Huawei... morebro you i understand that you change from samsung to huawei, but you are talking about price? bro in that time samsung had s9 and s9+ then in august note 9, i had an s8+ and i bought the note 9 great device, huawei came out with mate 20 it was expensive as well so dont talk about price, as usual they get devalued so yes the price went down, now own an s10+ and so far its the best device out there right now cant wait for the note 10 if it convince me am gonna buy it, my point is that you are a huawei fan, dont try to disguise your self.
