This is not a surprise.HTC decided. The company decided their smartphones will remain a reserve of the rich. For heaven's sake I have never seen more expensive phones specs-wise than HTC's. For the price of a Wildfire S I can get myself a Galaxy Ace and change. A Chacha costs more than a Galaxy S! The Sensation's price is set dangerously close to that of SGS II and that is not a bright idea,HTC. HTC, set your prices right, and then, may be,we shall look your way and boost your sales. Here in Kenya people own Galaxy phones but I rarely(if I remember ever seeing one that is)see HTC phones. They are gathering dust in stores since they cost an arm and a leg.I know of a store where a Desire HD costs as much as a Galaxy SII.One word:Unwise!

Especially chinese consumers have been unhappy with their HTCs and are swicthing mainly back to Nokia or going Apple/Samsung. Also increased presence of Samsung in the US has made it harder for HTC.

kevin, 06 Jan 2012ya rightly said.... SAMSUNG SUCKS !!!! all cheap plastic b... moreWhat Samsung phones have you used? Last time I checked Aluminium was cheaper than plastic. Plus colours last longer with plastic. If plastic ever breaks as well easier to replace than metal. What bad experience have you have with Samsung?

Need a superphone to come out lol. Something to compete with the rumoured GS3 and with rumours of iphone 5. Unfortunately the market is based on specs rather than style. So they need to make a monster of a spec sheet for a phone. Something like a full HD screen, about 4 to 4.5 " screen (would have though 4" would be enough), atleast dual core 1.5ghz processor, built in memory of atleast 16gb with micro sd. New style of phone (not the standard htc look that everyone knows), obv ICS on board and a really top of the range snapper. 8mp with really high end tech for the camera. Also, get rid of sense (will never happen) it bogs it down a bit. Same as TouchWiz with sammy. HTC is good for competition with sammy and apple but they need to maintain. Plus pull out of the WP race, (just make mid-range phones for wp, not worth the hastle) focus on android and you should be sorted :)

yes it was about to happen. as HTC never care for their customers for updates.its a great brand but takes too long to update firmware and even the marketing is poor insome countries.if they still dont change their perspective, they r gna fall and falll deeper. GOOD LUCK HTC

That really sucks for them. Though they must still be doing alright. They just need to step up the competition some. :)
