I love everything Huawei does but three things they need to fix. Lock screen notifications are erratic and sometimes do not show even when in notification shade. Their ugly EMUI icons needs a refresh. They are horrible and inconsistent, some are square and some are rounded. And screen dimming in some apps it drives me mad

Pixel for example; they could easily provide dual SIM and one hybrid NM slot but instead we get nothing.

I'm not rushing out to buy an NM card for my Mate 20 Pro, but it's nice to have the option if I wanted to.

The GSMArena team missed one very important question: Your EMUI looks and feels like it mimics Apple's iOS. When do you plan to completely revamp the UI?

Huawei leave Apple and Samsung way behind. The latest two haven't done anything new for the past years.

Huawei updates are always spotty. I like Huawei phones and tablets but their spotty and overly complicated OTA system is definitely a downside.

Xiaomi has a Global ROM and China ROM. Everybody on the Global ROM is running the same ROM build at the same time.

With Huawei even on their unlocked phones people in different countries and regions are all on different build numbers and the build numbers don't even necessarily correspond--there are at least 3 different build numbers that have the January security patch.

I admit I felt in love with Huawei for the first time, P30 Pro until it have to have NM card. Expensive price is not a matter if I need it urgently but the available of NM card is questionable.

Xiaomi, Asus, Nubia, Apple, and OnePlus ALL have dual SIM phones without a microSD card slot so what exactly is the harm in taking Huawei's FREE offer of installing that reader onto their Dual SIM phones without any reprocussions? It doesn't make sense.

Do I like the Nano Memory? Not 100% but do I want these phones to FINALLY offer expandable memory by giving us the choice in their Dual SIM phones? Absolutely.

A score for gsmarena to get an interview at that level. And refreshing that he knows the tech details and not just the monetary figures. Very level headed guy.

Yeah right, big billboard on highway shows a selfie taken on iphone 7 megapixel front camera, stretched up without losing detail proudly mention, 'shot on iphone'.

Its marketing. Every company does it.

I'm not quite sure how you can conclude that Mate 20 Pro and S9+ perform equally well with the same settings, because last time when I tried out the manual mode on P20 Pro and S9 in the store, P20 Pro in ISO 1600 handily beat S9 in ISO 800 in details, noise and color reproduction.
Also S10 series DOES come with Samsung's own version of night mode, called Bright Night, except you can't trigger it manually and even when it gets engaged it works like crap. This means that Bright Night was indeed used when Huawei's CEO was talking about the high sensitivity of their custom RYYB sensor, but you probably couldn't notice it because the resulting image was still so much darker than what P30 Pro managed to capture.

"what's the point of higher ISO if it doesn't help tone down SS in low light conditions?"
